Marie finishes the Winter academic term of her Freshman year at University. It's time for a break, and the man she's recently propositioned has just the place in mind. Would she like to spend a little easy beach time on a Caribbean island where he is to give a paper at a regional development conference? Of course, she'll also enjoy the company of the two ladies who presently share his bed – and separately, hers. The idea puts a definite gleam in her eye.
Marie must schedule around a few other competing activities during her Spring Break. She has employee background investigations to do for her part time job at the Rocky Mountain Consultancy. And there are preparations for her meeting with the Metroline Media Committee, as the ratings come in from her first National TV commercial. Will the Metroline Girl be a rave or a flop?
St. Martin is beautiful and The Residence where the girls and their Captain stay for the week is equally so. But the conference where their fella is to speak, is more than it seems. Marie is invited to assist in an evening reception for a select – and highly secret – list of government officials. She quickly finds herself “in the deep end of the pool” and playing hostess to a group of experienced international spies.
During their holiday, Marie and the girls are finally successful in getting the Captain to bed her. Her first night with him in the tropics will be remembered – and repeated – for the rest of her life with The Three. She begins to explore the truth in one of the Captain's favorite mottoes “The more we love, the more we can love.”

This is the fourth book in this series and it follows much of the same format as the others. While written as a diary of sorts, by the author Marie, this book is only loosely formatted as a diary, and does not have the back and forth emails that the prior books have. The format does work for this type of book but I would have liked to have seen something more offered in this book than the prior books, it feels very similar to prior books in some ways and in some ways it is evolving and expanding.This is not a conventional love story, as anybody who has read the first three should know. The books are erotic fiction and can get explicit. Here, Marie, finds her relationship evolving with the Captain and the other two woman, as Marie herself is maturing and growing into adult hood.
Marie's narrative alternates between sophisticated and juvenile, which reminds the reader that our narrator is only 18. I do like the continuation of the relationship, but it feels a little stale in the way of the story, I would have liked to have seen more plot elements introduced.
The downside of the diary format is that it is dialogue heavy, with small smatterings of action to break up the dialogue. It would be more engaging for the readers to have more showing elements to connect us with the characters, instead of just telling us. Other than this, my other negative is the overuse of the "quotation" marks in the book. This was an issue I had with the other books and it continues here. It jars me away from the story and is a constant in the book.
Other than that, the book is a good read overall and if you are a fan of the genre, you will like this and the prior three books.
