It read like an unrelenting ad for the da Vinci Robotic device. I got more valuable information watching YouTube videos of the procedure and reading patient post-op comments. Total waste of money. I returned the book immediately.

I recently had robotic hysterectomy and purchased this book prior to my surgery. It answered all my questions regarding the surgery itself and what to expect pre and post surgery. It also answered many questions that a patient may not think to ask or may be too embarassed to ask their physician. I encourage any woman having a robotic surgery to read it!
I work as a Registered Nurse for Dr. Lennox Hoyte. This book is an excellent reference for women who are desiring robotic surgery. The information is easy to understand and provides questions that women should consider asking prior to their procedure. Working with women everyday who are scheduled for robotic surgeries, the book answers the most common questions we encounter. There are great pictures and explanations of the numerous female problems women can encounter. Step by step details are explained on how the surgeon performs the robotic surgery. Being comfortable with your surgeon and procedure are important. This book gives patients the knowledge of what to ask and expect as they make the decision to proceed with surgery. Patients must understand their diagnosis and treatment in order to make an educated decision in their health care. If you are desiring a hysterectomy or repair of pelvic organ prolapse this book is an excellent reference.
As a health care provider working with a robotic surgeon, I have seen our patients recover faster and demonstrate less complications. Patients have less pain (some requiring no pain medications), returning to work sooner, and much smaller incisions. I had a hysterectomy back in September of 2010 due to a complication in this surgery, I needed to find a specialist who could repair a Vesicovaginal Fistula (short term my bladder.) And that's when I found Dr Lennox Hoyte the author of this book. I met him in October 2010, he repaired my bladder doing Robotic Surgery in December 2010 and now Iam feeling very well. Dr Hoyte and his staff eased all of my concerns and my fears that I had. I would recommend his book to any women needing to have Robotic Surgery. This book came on Monday and was read twice on the same day. This was easy to read and understand, and is full of most questions a woman would wonder about this procedure. A bit pricey but worth it!
